Was reading up on FCRA enforcement and came across the Fourth Circuit’s recent stance on credit report investigations — and honestly, it’s both frustrating and revealing. The court basically sided with the idea that as long as a credit bureau makes some effort (even minimal), it can count as a “reasonable” investigation. So even if they don’t fix obvious errors, that can still be legally acceptable.
