Wenk Garden Pavilion
When the Wenks bought their Camano Island home, they knew just what to do with the eight acres of extra land. They contacted Pelletier + Schaar to help them create a garden pavilion getaway. The Wenks wanted a “clubhouse” to exercise and relax amidst their garden playground. The team designed a pavilion, complete with a kitchenette, bathroom and fireplace along with entry gates and two complimentary storage structures for their gardening equipment. To embrace the isolation and beauty provided by the surrounding forested region, a nana-door wall system was installed. Along the exterior of the pavilion, shingled columns support an arc-shaped trellis that mimics the arc of the beams draping the pavilion’s interior.
