Ruebel Residence
The owners of this home, a retired pastor and a doctor, originally wanted to custom finish a partially-completed home they purchased. Due to deficiencies in the original construction, the house was demolished and construction on a new 4,500+ square-foot home began. The couple wanted a warm and inviting home that would embrace the beauty of the encompassing forested property while taking full advantage of the breathtaking waterfront views. Pelletier + Schaar designed this home, both interior and exterior, to do just that—maximize the connection to the surrounding environment. In addition, Pelletier + Schaar remodeled an existing garage into a carriage house to be used as a retreat for the pastor’s colleagues seeking spiritual refuge.
