Nestled in a neighborhood of vintage vacation homes, this ‘Craftsman with a twist,’ waterfront home functions as a weekend getaway for two urban professionals. While cedar shingles and window trim are reminiscent of a Craftsman home, the use of steel and glass give the home a more contemporary feel. Sitting on a 45’ x 60’ lot, the design utilized every square inch, including a sports car-sized garage, a powder room tucked beneath the stairs and a crawl space turned wine cellar. Nine-foot ceilings and expansive windows overlook Utsalady Bay. The sculptural fan-shaped canopy atop the entryway composed of glass and steel provides a unique and inviting presence.
