This rural home was designed for a young, active family. The owners envisioned a home that they could live and grow in with friends and family for years to come. Pelletier + Schaar worked with the Hedeens to design a home that would accommodate their family needs and give them plenty of room to entertain while embracing the beauty of their surrounding environment. While most would pass by the gravel of their driveway without a second glance, Carl, who grew up no more than a mile away from their property, knew all that the location had to offer. Unique to this home is the unprecedented view of one of Stanwood’s biggest attractions—the snow geese. The home sits on a high bluff, overlooking the fields where thousands of geese annually come to rest. Along with an in-law suite and a barn housing a basketball court, this home has it all and although it may be located in rural Washington, its refined beauty looks like it came straight out of urban magazine.
