Stanwood Co-Op Preschool
Stanwood, Washington
Pat and Carrie Richardson sought the help of Pelletier + Schaar to convert a 100-year-old house into a new preschool in Stanwood, WA. The transformation required attention to ADA requirements and flood plain issues. Additionally, materials for the 2,300 square foot school had to be tough enough to withstand the wear and tear of pre-schoolers while still maintaining an aesthetic appeal. Products like Marmoleum flooring, vinyl windows and powder-coated steel rails were just some of the materials chosen. Adhering to the client’s vision, Pelletier + Schaar designed the preschool to mimic the look and feel of the existing home as closely as possible. Upon completion, the school was donated, to the Stanwood Co-Op Preschool.
